Evelyn Austin Henley

Mrs. Evelyn Austin Henley, age 87, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at Wellstar Cobb Hospital. She was born June 15, 1921 in Winder, Georgia the daughter of the late Mr. John Rich Austin and the late Mrs. Lillie Helton Austin. She was of the Methodist Faith and was a homemaker. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Elbert Henley; granddaughter, Evelyn Edenfield; sister, Anne Moon; and brothers, John Robert Austin and Rudolph Austin. She is survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law, Joan and George Edenfield and Anne and Fred Wallace all of Douglasville; sister and brother-in-law, Becky and Benny DeLay of Winder; brother and sister-in-law, James and Lynette Austin of Lake Park; grandchildren, Rev. Sheri Smith and Hugh Smith, and Thomas Wallace; 4 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, May 23, 2009 at 2:00 PM from the Douglas Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Rev. Sheri Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Henley Cemetery.
