Mrs. Evelyn Francis Lewis Parker, age 85, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2013. She was born July 18, 1928 in Draketown, Georgia the daughter of the late Mr. Roy E. Lewis and the late Mrs. Annie Lee Mitchell Lewis. She retired as the office manager for Scripto Pen and Pencil Company. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, SFC Horace Wilburn Parker; son, Jack Parker; grandchildren, Lynn Adams and Karen Collins; sister, Gail Lewis; brothers, Curtis E. Lewis and Daniel Ray “Bud” Lewis. She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Patsy and Stanley Collins, Susan Kiser, and Lisa and Danny Wright all of Douglasville; son and daughter-in-law, Bobbie Leon and Brenda Parker of Palmetto; three sisters and brothers-in-law, June and Melvin Lightsey of Conyers, JoAnn and Jerry Pritchard of Jonesboro, Charlsie McCulley of Gainesville; brother and sister-in-law, Jerry “Buck” and Blanche Lewis of Jonesboro; seven grandchildren, David Brian Collins of Nashville, Amy Kiser Rountree and her husband, Brian of Douglasville, Amber Wright of Douglasville, LCPL Mackenzie Wright, Okinawa, Japan (U.S. Marines), Jean Robinson of Senoia, Bonnie Sansom and her husband, Shannon of Moreland and Kathy Willis and her husband, Donnie of Bearcreek, AL; seven great-grandchildren, T.J. Robinson, Ian Robinson, Katlyn Robinson, Jeremy Adams, Danielle Manasco and her husband, Larry, Kaitlyn Rountree, and Joshua Rountree; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel, Friday, December 20, 2013 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Friday, December 20, 2013 at 1:00 PM at the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Dr. Danny Watters and Brother Luke Pollock officiating. Interment will follow at College Park Cemetery. Messages of condolence may be sent to the family at www.jones-wynn.com.
