Evelyn Thompson Perry

Mrs. Evelyn Thompson Perry, age 68, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Tuesday, July 18, 2006 at Wellstar Tranquility Hospice. She was born March 10, 1938 in Edwardsville, Alabama the daughter of the late Mr. Robert Edward Thompson and the late Mrs. Bercha Lee Pesnell Thompson. She married Jimmy Rudolph Perry on December 21, 1957 in Columbus, Mississippi. She was a member of Cowan Hills Baptist Church and attended Shepherd of the Hills Methodist Church in Douglasville. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Rudolph Perry. She is survived by her two daughters, Phyllis P. Bunday of Douglasville and Patricia A. Perry of Douglasville; one sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and James Edwards of Hiram; one brother, Edward Thompson of Atlanta; one grandchild, Amanda Bunday of Douglasville; several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted Friday, July 21, 2006 at 11:00 AM from the Douglas Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Douglasville. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel on Thursday, July 20, 2006 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
