Evelyn Virginia Hand Webb

Mrs. Evelyn Virginia Hand Webb, age 72, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Saturday, March 19, 2011 at Tranquility Hospice in Austell. She was born August 22, 1938 in Moultrie, Georgia, the daughter of the late Mr. George Franklin Hand and the late Mrs. Vassie Gay Hand. She was a member of Pray’s Mill Baptist Church in Douglasville and worked as a bookkeeper during her working career. Mrs. Webb also enjoyed sewing and was devoted to her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Grady Webb on July 2, 2002, and four sisters, Ira Mae, Adelaide, Gladys and Grace. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Melanie Ann and Michael Wells of Lago Vista, TX; and Lori Regina and Brian Tidwell of Kennesaw; sister and brother-in-law, Ruby and Jim Pickering of Conyers; three grandchildren, Sasha, Carson, and Peyton; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at 11:00 AM from the Douglas Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Pastor Josh Buice officiating. Interment will follow at Meadowbrook Memory Gardens in Villa Rica. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel, Monday, March 21, 2011 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
