Everett Stanley Vaughn, Sr.

Mr. Everett Stanley Vaughn, Sr., age 75, of Vaughn Road, Temple, Georgia passed away Thursday, September 18, 2008 at Haralson Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Bremen, Georgia. He was born March 2, 1933 in Greenville, South Carolina, son of the late Lloyd Vaughn and the late Oveda Scott Vaughn. Mr. Vaughn worked as a MARTA bus driver and retired after 30 years of service. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. In addition to his parents, Mr. Vaughn was preceded in death by his brother, Denver Vaughn and his sister, Christine Smallwood. He is survived by his wife of over 52 years, Mrs. Ann H. Madsen Vaughn of Temple; his daughters and son-in-law, Donna Vaughn of Temple and Teresa and James Lanier of Tallapoosa; his son, Everett Stanley Vaughn, Jr. and his wife, Marti Vaughn of Temple; his sister and brother-in-law, Frances and Albert Carroll of Temple; his brother and sister-in-law, James and Sandy Vaughn of Seabring, Florida; 8 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews also survive. Memorial services were conducted on Sunday, September 21, 2008 at 3:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica with Rev. Rodney Agan officiating.
