Fannie LOUISE Marlow Thompson

Mrs. Fannie Louise Marlow Thompson, 66 of Somerset Place, Carrollton, Georgia formally of Villa Rica, passed away, Saturday, January 9, 2010 at her residence following an extended illness. She was born November 26, 1943, in Fulton County, Georgia, the daughter of the late George Grady Marlow and the late Mrs. Myrtle Grace McDearis Marlow. She was a member of the Gateway Baptist Church. She worked for seven years as a Paraprofessional with the Carroll County School System. She was dedicated to her family, her church and teaching. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by 4 brothers, 3 sisters and 2 nephews. Survivors include her husband, Mr. James Thompson of Carrollton, daughters and sons-in-law, Billie and Joey Walker of Carrollton, Cindy and Jimmy Choate of Villa Rica, and Sharon German of Carrollton, 8 granddaughters, 1 grandson, 1 great grandson and one great granddaughter, 2 nieces and several cousins also survive. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at 1:00 PM from the with Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Byrd and Rev. C.T. Warren officiating. Musical selections will be provided by David Sweat, Eva Fuller and Deidra Warren. Interment will follow in Meadowbrook Memory Gardens on Hickory Level Road in Villa Rica, with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Randall Brown, Jay Farmer, Howard Walden, Jack Martin, and Richard Sheldon. Honorary escort will be Daniel Choate and Greg Smith and Caden Manning. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, January 11, 2010 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and Tuesday, January 12, 2010 from 9:00 AM until 8:00 PM.
