On January 26, 2011 at 8:47PM Ms. Felicite Recilia Lubin Guerrier has passed away at Wellstar Hospital in Kennesaw Georgia. Better known as Cia by family members and friends. Recilia was born in Camaguey, Cuba on October 4, 1923. She was the youngest of four children, with two brothers, Miguel Batista and Alfred Lubin, and one sister, Mariana. At age five her father left Cuba with her and her sister for Haiti and established residence there. Some years later her father died and Cia went to live with her aunts, Titine and Phonise. She was beautiful, kind, loving, elegant, intelligent, well-mannered, and an excellent cook, all qualities capable of knocking all men off of their feet. That's when Jean Dioville Guerrier asked for her hand and married her within months, on August 7, 1945. Their marriage produced seven children well prepared to face life's challenges. The couple lead a good fifty years of hard work and fulfillment until her husband's death in 1994. Her daughter Marie Carmelle Baptiste and son-in-law Max-Henri Baptiste took her under their wings. Her life in the US since 1998 was vibrant as she always has been. She enjoyed life, especially by traveling around. Strong and active she was the counselor and helping hand of Marie's family. Her grandchildren have a lot to copy from grandma Cia, even her jokes. Finally, Felicite Recilia Lubin Guerrier leaves to cherish her loving memories.
