Felton Ray Crossland, 78, of Villa Rica, passed away on Friday, May 15, 2026. He was born on
June 17, 1947, the son of the late Coleman Green Crossland and Etta Deola Barger.
A proud veteran of the Vietnam War, Felton served in the United States Army for 12 years and
six years in the National Guard. His military service was one of the great honors of his life, and
he carried deep pride in serving his country throughout the years.
Felton was the youngest of four brothers, and together they shared a close bond filled with
humor, stories, and plenty of mischief. At the age of 18, he met the love of his life, Linda Blake.
After just three months of dating, the two were married, beginning a lifelong partnership built on
love, faith, and devotion. Later this year, they would have celebrated their 60th wedding
anniversary together.
A devoted husband and father, Felton faithfully served the Lord for many years as a pastor,
Sunday School teacher, and deacon. His faith shaped the way he lived and the way he cared for
others, and he touched many lives through his ministry, encouragement, and example.
Felton also enjoyed life’s simpler pleasures. He loved watching Western movies and cheering on
his favorite NASCAR drivers. He especially enjoyed spending time with friends, sharing stories,
joking around, and “cutting up” with those he loved. His laughter, sense of humor, and warm
presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Randall Crossland, Dean
Crossland, and Thomas Crossland; and sisters-in-law, Ronda Crossland and Lillie Crossland.
He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Blake Crossland; children, Lana and David Nix of Villa
Rica, Paula and Mark Thornton of Concord, North Carolina, and Rebekah and Reza Moshiri of
Marietta; sister-in-law, Pauline Crossland of Arkansas; grandchildren, Amber Jent, Elizabeth
Moshiri, Ebi Moshiri, and Megan Thornton; along with several nieces and nephews.
The family will hold a celebration of life service on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at 11:00 AM at
Ephesus Baptist Church.
