Florence Ann Dorrough

Mrs. Florence Ann Dorrough, 77, of Carrollton, Georgia passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2006 at Wellstar Douglas Hospital. She was born March 30, 1928 in Carroll County, Georgia the daughter of the late Mr. Walter Jeff Thurman and the late Mrs. Ola Mae Scantlin Thrash. She was a member of Abilene Baptist Church. Mrs. Dorrough was a retired seamstress. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert R. Dorrough. She is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law, Jackie and Florene Cook of Carrollton, Charles Mathew McCoy of Costa Mesa, CA, Aubrey James and Barbara McCoy of Biloxi, MS, and Buford Earl and Dot McCoy of Beulah, AL; one sister, Catherine Bates of Michigan; 7 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, March 4, 2006 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica with Rev. Larry Scott officiating. Interment will follow at Abilene Cemetery. The following will serve as pallbearers: Lee Pittman, Phill Perdue, Skip Perdue, Mike Waddy, Wesley Cook, Charles Arrington, and Jamie McCoy. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, March 2, 2006 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM and Friday, March 3, 2006 from 9:00 AM until 9:00 PM.
