Florence Jane Zaccone

Mrs. Florence Jane Zaccone, age 88, of Douglasville, Georgia, formerly of New Jersey, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, March 13, 2009. She was born May 20, 1920 in New Jersey the daughter of the late Mr. Christian Gronborg and the late Mrs. Sara Hamilton Gronborg. She was a longtime resident of New Jersey until 1995 when she moved to Virginia Beach, Virginia and later to Douglasville, Georgia. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Westwood, New Jersey. She was a homemaker. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James Zaccone. She is survived by her son, Ronald Zaccone of Villa Rica, GA; her daughter and son-in-law, Jane and Michael Mezza of Douglasville, GA; 2 granddaughters, Christine Mezza of Douglasville, GA and Nicole McLean of Sarasota, FL; grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Michael and Joanna Mezza of Douglasville; 3 great-grandchildren, Chad McLean and Makayla McLean both of Sarasota, FL and Anthony Mezza of Douglasville, GA. Funeral Services will be conducted at a later date in Cliffside Park, New Jersey. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery in Fairview, New Jersey. Because of Mrs. Zaccone’s great love of animals, the family requests that, in lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mrs. Florence Zaccone may be made to the Atlanta Humane Society.
