Floyd Bruce Farrar

Floyd Bruce Farrar, age 72, of Villa Rica passed away Saturday, January 15, 2011 at Tanner Medical Center in Villa Rica. He was born May 9, 1938 in Standing Rock, AL the son of the late Mr. William Farrar and the late Mrs. Bernice Dodgen Farrar. He worked as a welder for General Motors for many years. He attended the First United Methodist Church in Villa Rica. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Keith Farrar; brothers and sisters, Bradley Farrar, Billy Farrar, Frances Earls, Benny Jo Farrar, Wallace Farrar, Jaquellene Farrar, and Tommie Smith. He is survived by his loving wife, Jane Clay Farrar of Villa Rica; daughter and son-in-law, Vicki and Billy Neahr of La Grange; sons, Larry Farrar of Newnan, David Farrar of Newnan, Mike Astin of Newnan;step-son,Adam Clay and Krystal Hill of Villa Rica; brother-in-law, Roger L. Smith of Hapeville; sister-in-law, Vicki Cox of Villa Rica; mother-in-law, Shelby Clay of Villa Rica; eight grandchildren; one great-grandson. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica with Rev. James Smith officiating.
