Mr. Floyd Franklin Daniel, age 60, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Friday, March 7, 2008 at Wellstar Douglas Hospital. A native of Douglas County, he was born December 25, 1947 the son of the late Mr. Raymond Daniel and the late Mrs. Maggie Waits Daniel. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Mr. Daniel worked as a supervisor for the Douglas County Board of Education. He was a member of the American Legion Post 145. He is survived by his wife, Sarah Garmon Daniel of Douglasville; son and daughter-in-law, Lonnie and April Daniel of Douglasville; step-daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Keith Shelton of Corona, CA; step-son, Dan Reece of Powder Springs; sister, Ruth Minton of Douglasville; 7 grandchildren; 1 niece and 3 nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted Monday, March 10, 2008 at 11:00 AM from the Douglas Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Dr. Gil Watson officiating. Interment will follow at Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery in Hiram. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel, Sunday, March 9, 2008 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
