Floyd King

Mr. Floyd Stephen King, age 88, of Temple, passed away, Thursday, March 22, 2018. He was born November 25, 1929 in Newnan the son of the late Mr. Lloyd William King and the late Mrs. Arrie Mae Swanson King. He retired from Georgia Power after 35 years. Mr. King was an avid Golfer, who loved to play at the Mirror Lake and Chapel Hill golf courses. He was a long time member of Georgia Power Ambassadors Club. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Danny Stephen King; brothers, Howard King and Raymond King. He is survived by his wife, Sherill Chassin King of Temple; son, Michael “Mike” Joseph King of Oxford; stepson and stepdaughter-in-law, Brian and Patty Goldstein of Canton; stepdaughter, Mari Mitchell; six grandchildren, Chris and Naomi King, Jeff King, Sean Stanley, David Stanley, Dani, Aubrey and Lauren Hatch, and Donovan Hatch; two great-grandchildren, Mariam King and Elsie Hatch; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Monday, March 26, 2018 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Monday, March 26, 2018 at 1:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Mr. Tim Stephens officiating. Interment will follow at Meadowbrook Memory Gardens.
