Mr. Floyd W. Ivey, 80, of Temple, Georgia passed away Monday, October 9, 2006 at his residence. He was born September 13, 1926 in Carroll County, Georgia. He was the son of the late Mr. Ernest Wilmuth Ivey and the late Mrs. Ida Mae Dewberry Ivey. Mr. Ivey retired from Lockheed in 1992 after 32 years of service as an aircraft worker. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church in Temple, Georgia. Mr. Ivey was a veteran of the United States Navy having served during World War II. In addition to his parents, Mr. Ivey was preceded in death by his brothers, Eugene George Ivey and James Allen Ivey. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mary Meixner Ivey of Temple; his daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Dan Oliver of Marietta; his son and daughter-in-law, Floyd “Allen” and Carole Ivey of Douglasville; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Jane and Max Ellis of Villa Rica and Sue and John Cramer of Villa Rica; 3 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, October 11, 2006 at 3:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica, Georgia with Rev. Larry Boswell, Rev. Ralph Tapley and Rev. Frank Richardson officiating. Eulogist will be Rev. Jimmy Bryan. Serving as pallbearers will be Charles Ivey, Larry Mann, Jimmy Riggs, David Cramer, Dan Hunt and James Wolfenbarger. Honorary pallbearers will be Bob Oliver, Jack Dewberry and Raymond Rutledge. Interment will follow in Asbury Cemetery in Temple, Georgia. The family will be receiving friends in the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica, Tuesday, October 10, 2006 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Those desiring to do so may make donations In Memory of Mr. Floyd W.
