Mr. Ford H. Barnes, age 91, of Brentwood Court, Douglasville, Georgia passed away Sunday, February 11, 2007 at Douglasville Nursing and Rehabilation Center. He was born November 15, 1915 in Carroll County, Georgia the son of the late Mr. Steven Kramer Barnes and the late Mrs. Ola Tuggle Barnes. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church. He worked at Lane Rexall and later at Marshall & Bell Pharmacies. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Sara Elizabeth Barnes; sisters, Lema Mason, Faye Parker, and Verona Perdue; brother, Stuart Barnes. He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Tracey Barnes of Douglasville; his sister, Myrtle Tarbley of Mableton; 2 grandchildren, Brian and Tiffany Hussey of Wesley Chapel, FL and Jason and Janel Pelfrey of Treeport, LA; 2 great-grandchildren, Skylyn Hussey and Arianna Hussey; several nieces and nephews. Mr. Barnes is also survived by his beloved dog and best friend, Kaydee. Funeral Services will be conducted Tuesday, February 13, 2007 at 3:30 PM from the Douglas Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Shirley, Deacon Tony Lee and Pastor Leigh Oslin officiating. Interment will follow at Rosehaven Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel, Monday, February 12, 2007 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
