Mrs. Frances A. Yates Holloman, 85, of Covington, Georgia passed away Sunday, April 8, 2007, at Rockdale Medical Center in Conyers, Georgia. She was born June 19, 1921 in Carroll County, Georgia. She was the son of the late Mr. John Wesley Akin and the late Mrs. Eva Elrod Akin. Mrs. Holloman retired from over twenty-five years of service as a seamstress and was a member of Draketown Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughter, Martha Ponder of Covington, Georgia; sons and daughter in-laws, Donald Eugene and Sarah Powell of Aubrey, Texas; and Johnny Mack Powell of Covington, Georgia; nine grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, one great great-grandchild, and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to The American Heart Association or The American Diabetes Association. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, April 11, 2007 at 1:30 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica, Georgia with Rev. Danny Standard officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Bremen, Georgia. The family will be receiving friends in the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica, Tuesday, April 10, 2007 from 2:00 PM until 8:30 PM.
