Mrs. Frances Allen Barber, 86, of Villa Rica, Georgia passed away Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at Wellstar Paulding Nursing Center. She was born December 23, 1921 in Carroll County, Georgia the daughter of the late Mr. George Parker Allen and the late Mrs. Elfie Alline Chance Allen. She was a member of the First Pentecostal Church of Villa Rica. She retired from Sewell Manufacturing with over 35 years of service. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Sara Allen and brothers, George Albert Allen and Charles Edward Allen, Sr. She is survived by her husband, Virgil Barber of Villa Rica; daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and John Fincher of Douglasville; son and daughter-in-law, Doug and Brenda Barber of Destin, FL; sisters and brother-in-law, Dorothy Seals of Villa Rica; and Agnes and Lee Lamanac of Woodstock; brother, Ernest Luther Allen of Dawson; 4 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, November 29, 2008 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica with Rev. Eddie Allen and Rev. Mike Woods officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Gethsemane at Meadowbrook Memory Gardens in Villa Rica. The following will serve as pallbearers: Brody Cantrell, Julius Parrish, Cory Parr, Kenneth Fincher, Robert Fincher and Tommy Wix. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica, Friday, November 28, 2008 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
