Frances Jean Fountain

Mrs. Frances Jean Fountain, age 82, of Fairplay, GA, passed away, Sunday, November 20, 2016. She was born June 25, 1934 in Douglasville the daughter of the late Mr. Ernest Paul Strickland and the late Mrs. Ellen Strickland. In her earlier years she worked for the IRS and then became an LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) working for Douglasville Nursing and Rehab for many years. She enjoyed gardening. Mrs. Fountain was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hyatt Fountain; son, Timothy Eugene Fountain; brothers, Raymond Strickland and Clyde Strickland; sisters, Pauline Bukeleau, Sadie Lovell, May Huff, Willie Jones and Dorothy BellShe is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Sammy H. and Annette Fountain of Monroe, GA; grandchildren, Sammy Fountain, Jr, Joshua Fountain, James Fountain, Gina Fountain, and Rachel Fountain; great-grandchildren, McKinze, Shealeigh, Greenlee, Hadley, Ava, Asa, Trent, Taylor, Brady, Jet, Meredith, Owen, Raine, and Zander; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville, Saturday, November 26, 2016 from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM. Memorial Services will be conducted Saturday, November 26, 2016 at 12:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Bro. James Massengill officiating.
