RUTH SHARP DAVIS Mrs. Frances Ruth Davis, of Oxford Street, Douglasville, Georgia, passed away, Tuesday, May 1, 2007 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Atlanta. She was born July 28, 1929 in Dayton, Tennessee the daughter of the late Edward Vance Sharp and the late Mrs. Altie Fitzgerald Sharp. She was a member of the Lithia Springs First Baptist Church, where she was also a member of the Victory in Christ Sunday School Class. Mrs. Davis was owner and operator of “Mi-Lady Hair Salon”. She volunteered at Wellstar Douglas Hospital Auxiliary for 28 years. She and Mr. Davis were avid campers. Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Mr. Joseph Dotson Davis of Douglasville, 2 daughters and son-in-law, Beverly Reagin of Villa Rica and Marilyn And Donnie Freeman of Douglasville, 2 sisters and brother-in-law, Lois and Dennis Hall and Reba Keylon all of Dayton, TN, 2 brothers and sisters-in-law, Roy and Diane Sharp of Dayton, TN and Coy and Patsy Sharp of Athens, TN, 4 grandchildren, Carmen and Scott Maxwell, Joseph Freeman, Joshua Freeman, Janet and Jamie Hardy, 3 great grandchildren, Halie Maxwell, Leigh Maxwell and Cameron Hardy, a number of nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted, Saturday, May 5, 2007 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Dr. Marty McLain and Dr. Marion Beaver officiating. Honorary escort will include the Wellstar Douglas Hospital Auxiliary and member of the Victory in Christ Sunday School Class from Lithia Springs First Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Douglasville. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Friday, May 4, 2007 from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel of Douglasville is in charge of arrangements.
