Frank Edward Cole

Mr. Frank Edward Cole, 85, of Rainey Road, Temple, Georgia passed away Thursday, February 23, 2006 at Tanner Medical Center in Villa Rica, Georgia. He was born September 3, 1920 in Cuthbert, Georgia. He was the son of the late Raney Cole and the late Bertha Mosley Cole. Mr. Cole was a veteran of the United States Army having served during World War II in the European Theater in North Africa and Sicily, Italy. He received numerous honors and awards including the Purple Heart. He was a farmer and worked for General Motors for 13 years in auto assembly. Mr. Cole was a charter member of the Beulah Masonic Lodge #698 having joined on October 26, 1949. He was a member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church in Temple, Georgia. In addition to his parents, Mr. Cole was preceded in death by his brothers, Buren Cole, Vernon Cole, Joe Cole and Whit Cole and one sister, Geraldine Rutledge. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Nellie M. Puckett Cole of Temple; his daughters and sons-in-law, Jean and Johnny Alford of Temple and Diane and Roger Duggins of Carrollton; three grandchildren, Brent Duggins, Julie Duggins and Dawn Alford; and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, February 27, 2006 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica with Rev. J. T. Hollingshed and Rev. Corky Addison officiating. Pallbearers will be Harold Cole, Joey Cole, Randy Cole, Jamie Cole, David Cole, Renford Cole, Wayne Cole and Dewayne Cole. Interment will follow with military honors and Masonic Rites at Beulahland Baptist Church Cemetery in Dallas, Georgia. The family will be receiving friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica, Sunday, February 26, 2006 from 4:30 PM until 8:00 PM.
