Mr. Frank Foster Sims, 79, of River Bend Court, Villa Rica, Georgia passed away Monday, January 30, 2006 at his residence. He was born April 4, 1926, in Birmingham, Alabama. He was the son of the late John Lewis Sims, II and the late Cora Applegate Foster Sims. Mr. Sims was a veteran of the United States Navy having served during World War II. He was a member of the Temple United Methodist Church in Temple, Georgia. Mr. Sims was a member of the Lions Club in Hiawassee, Georgia having served as President. He was also a member of the Temple Masonic Lodge #322 F&AM and a Shriner. Mr. Sims was retired from Goodyear Tire Company as an inventory manager. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. June Crenshaw Sims of Villa Rica; his daughter and son-in-law, Deborah Sims McIntosh and Richard J. McIntosh of Temple; brother and sister-in-law, John Lewis Sims, III and Annie Laura Sims of Birmingham, Alabama; 2 grandchildren, Jennifer and Jammey Townsend and Matthew McIntosh; 3 great-grandchildren, Mackenzie Foster McIntosh, Joslyn Lenora Townsend and Joshua Foster Townsend; and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, February 4, 2006 at 10:00 AM from the Temple United Methodist Church with Rev. Joe Williams officiating. Graveside services with military honors will be conducted on Saturday, February 4, 2006 at 3:00 PM EST at Elmwood Cemetery in Birmingham, Alabama. Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery in Birmingham, Alabama. The family will be receiving friends at the Temple United Methodist Church in Temple, Georgia, Saturday, February 4, 2006 from 9:00AM until 10:00AM.
