Mr. Frank L. Miller, Sr., 84, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Thursday, October 23, 2008 at Wellstar Tranquility Hospice. He was born May 5, 1924 in Vincennes, Indiana the son of the late Mr. Louis Russell Miller and the late Mrs. Gladys West Miller. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corp during World War II where he flew on a B17 Bomber over Europe. Mr. Miller was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Carrollton. He retired after 35 years of service in radio communication for the Norfolk Southern Railway. He was a reserve police officer for the City of Knoxville. Mr. Miller was very active in his community and was a member of the American Legion Post #147 and the Knights of Columbus, Fourth Degree. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and gardening. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Louise Ford. He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Mrs. Elizabeth Ann Miller of Douglasville; daughter and son-in-law, Mary Alice and Tom McWatters of Franklin, TN; sons and daughters-in-law, Frank, Jr. and Frances Ann Miller of Westminster, MD; and Jim and Peggy Miller of Douglasville, GA; 6 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. A Memorial Mass will be conducted Monday, October 27, 2008 at 1:00 PM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Carrollton, Georgia with Father Paul Williams and Father Diro Rico officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel, Sunday, October 26, 2008 from 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM with a rosary following at 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers contributions in memory of Mr. Frank L.
