Frank Perna

Mr. Frank Donald Perna, age 86, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Monday, January 27, 2014. He was born October 5, 1927 in Buffalo, New York. He worked as a cook and was of the Catholic Faith. He enjoyed horse racing, cooking Italian food and serving his family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father, Mr. Mike Perna and mother, Mrs. Grace Lagattuta and stepfather, the late Nick Lagattuta; his wife, Betty Virginia Brown Perna; sister, Rosie Perna; and brother, Dennis Perna. He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and Mickey Patterson of Powder Springs; four sons and daughters-in-law, William “Tom” and Deirdre Perna of Winston, Joe Perna, Frank and Vickie Perna, and Nick and Allison Perna all of Douglasville; sister and brother-in-law, Sandy and Jim Colangelo of Panama City, FL; brothers and sister-in-law, Ron and Marjorie Lagattuta of Ft. Myers, FL and Charlie Lagattuta; eight grandchildren, William Edwards, Nina Patterson, Brody Perna, Adam Perna, Karli Perna, Anthony Perna, Katelyn Perna, and Kenzie Perna; one great-grandchild, Drew Gargone; several nieces and nephews.
