Frankie Jean Norris, 93, of Douglasville, GA, passed away on Saturday, January 31, 2026. She was born on November 8, 1932, the daughter of the late Vernon N. Ashley and the late Kate G. Duke Ashley.
Throughout her life, Frankie was known for her vibrant personality and her zest for the simple pleasures that life offered. She found joy in the little things, whether it was indulging in her love for shopping, delighting in the thrill of watching her favorite football team, the Falcons, or finding solace in the pages of her cherished Bible.
Frankie's affinity for shopping was not just a hobby but a way for her to connect with friends and family, often sharing her latest finds or seeking out the perfect gift for a loved one. Her enthusiasm was contagious, often bringing smiles and laughter to those who accompanied her on her excursions.
As a devoted fan of the Falcons, she had a special place in her heart for the excitement and camaraderie that came with the game. Sundays were often filled with spirited discussions and hearty cheers, bringing together friends and family as they rallied behind their team.
Frankie's deep faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she found immense comfort and guidance through her readings from the Bible. This profound connection to her spirituality shaped her values and the way she interacted with the world, leaving a lasting impact on those fortunate enough to know her.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Ronald Norris; brothers, Dilbert Ashley, H. C. Ashley, and Richard Ashley; sisters, Shirley Lyle, Peggy Robinson, and Thrusa Stringer; and grandchildren, Trevor Norris and Brad Norris.
She is survived by her loving husband W. A. Norris; daughter, Melissa Caldwell of Douglasville, GA; son, James E (Mila Faye) Norris or Lithia Springs, GA; three grandchildren, Christopher Paul Caldwell, Joshua Dunn, and Tabitha Clark; one great granddaughter, Anniston Clark and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive family and friends on Friday, February 6, 2026 from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home Douglas Chapel.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, February 6, 2026 at 1:00 PM at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home Douglas Chapel.
Interment will follow at Sunrise Gardens of Memories in Douglasville, GA.
Her passing is felt deeply by all who knew and loved her.
