Franklin Douglas Myers

Franklin Douglas Myers, 79, of Villa Rica, passed away at his residence on January 11, 2023. He was born on September 29, 1943. He is the son of the late Chester Arthur Myers and the late Elsie Mae Davis Myers.

Franklin cherished and loved his family, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  He enjoyed softball and road trips to Alabama with his family. He also had a love for dogs and reading the Bible.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Gail Hester Myers; daughter, Christine Paul; brother, Charles “Charlie” Myers; sister, Betty Ann Phillips and Jerry Lynn Day; grandchild, Dakota. He is survived by his daughters and son in law, Traci and Mark Richmond of Biloxi, MS and Sandy Myers of Villa Rica, GA; son, Greg Hester of Vidalia, GA; grandchildren, Jessica, Ryan, Reese, Justin, Tracy, Christian, Ashli, Joshua, Nathan, Jordan, Mara, Megan, Mariah, Harley, Neaveh, Jasmine, Hayden; great grandchildren, Peyton, Clayton, Sophia, Ryan, Jackson, Hudson, Brees, Brityn, Sutton, Nova, Rileigh, Aliyah, Madison, Mattlyn, Mason, Ajarni, Omari, Melanie, Tripp, Roary, and Aiden; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on January 16, 2023 from 10:00 AM until the funeral hour at 12:00 PM, from Jones-Wynn Funeral Home Villa Rica Chapel. The funeral service will begin at 12:00 PM from Jones-Wynn Funeral Home Villa Rica Chapel. Interment will follow at Powder Springs City Cemetery.
