Fred Judson Payne

Mr. Fred Judson Payne, age 83, of Lithia Springs, Georgia passed away Thursday, October 30, 2008 at his home. He was born February 20, 1925 in Banks County, Georgia the son of the late Mr. John Payne and the late Mrs. Clara Westbrook Payne. He married Josephine Campbell on December 18, 1943 in Cedartown, Georgia. He was of the Baptist Faith. Mr. Payne worked in dispatching for the Consolidated Freight Lines. He enjoyed traveling and was an avid NASCAR fan. He loved his family and his beloved dog, Molly. He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Mrs. Josephine Campbell Payne of Lithia Springs; daughters and sons-in-law, Gayle and Danny Barrow and Lisa and Ricky Robinson all of Lithia Springs; son, Glenn Payne of Lithia Springs; 4 grandchildren, Jennifer, Amy, Amanda, and Emily; 2 great-grandchildren, Bradly and Francis. Funeral Services will be conducted Sunday, November 2, 2008 at 1:30 PM at the Douglas Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Minister David York officiating. Interment will follow at College Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel Saturday, November 1, 2008 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM.
