Fred Waddell,Sr.

Mr. Fred Christian Waddell, Sr., age 84, of Dallas, Georgia passed away Monday, September 26, 2011. He was born June 19, 1927 in Draketown, Georgia the son of the late Mr. John William Waddell and the late Mrs. Beulah Belle White Waddell. He was a member of Beulahland Baptist Church in Rockmart. Mr. Waddell was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II where he served in Japan. He was a member and served as Past Master of the Beulah Lodge # 698 F&AM. He retired as a mechanic following many years of service working at Lockheed-Martin and the City of Atlanta. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Frankie Evelyn Shelton Waddell; his sisters, Judy Pamela Bradbury, Mary Lou Waddell, and Sarah Pauline Heath; brothers, William Lawrence Wallace, Sr., Joseph Lorenzo Waddell, Luther Clarence Waddell, Emmett G. Waddell, twin brother, Lowell Cecil Waddell, and John Calvin Waddell; and half brother, C.W. White. He is survived by his daughter, Regina Lynn Waddell Bowen of Dallas; sons, Fred Christian Waddell, Jr. of Dallas, Calvin Lee Waddell of Dallas, and Michael Jerry Waddell of Lake Weis, AL; sister, Frances Waddell Randles of Carrollton; brothers, Charlie Robert Waddell of Louisville, KY and James Thomas Waddell of Thomasville, NC; 18 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home of Villa Rica, Wednesday, September 28, 2011 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday, September 29, 2011 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Moore officiating.
