Mr. Freddie Phillips, age 76, of Fayetteville passed away Saturday, July 13, 2024. He was born September 29, 1947 in Cullman, AL to the late Mr. Thomas Phillips and the late Mrs. Ella Hancock Phillips.

Freddie had a wide range of hobbies and interests that brought him joy throughout his life. He thoroughly enjoyed attending car shows, tending to his garden, and spending time on his tractor. His compassionate nature shone through in his dedication to helping others and caring for the animals on the farm. One of Freddie’s favorite pastimes was gathering around bonfires with his friends, where his gentle and welcoming personality made everyone feel at ease. He was known for his exceptional kindness and never failed to make connections with people from all walks of life. Freddie also had a passion for guns and took great pride in being a protector for those around him. His commitment to ensuring the safety of others was truly admirable.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Jean Phillips; daughters, Mandy Seay of Douglasville, Tiffani Campbell; sons, Shon Phillips of Douglasville, Chris Thomas; sisters, Barbara Moulds of Southside, AL, Karen Beard of Boaz, AL; brothers, Billy Phillips, Charles Phillips and Kenneth Phillips; 9 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville on Friday, July 19, 2024 from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 PM with Bro. Steve Phillips officiating. Interment will take place at Sunrise Garden of Memories in Douglasville.
