Frederick Lamar Walker

October 24, 1970 — May 23, 2023

Farewell Frederick L. Walker. Tuesday, May 23, 2023, Frederick went peacefully to be with the Lord at his home in New Albany, IN. He was born October 24, 1970, in Alabama, to the late Cora Walker.

He attended Tuskegee High School until he moved to Atlanta, GA, where he attended Benjamin B. High School, and graduated with the class of ’89. He then joined Calvary M. Baptist Church, under the late Pastor Fraizer Allen. He was a member of Silver Leaf Lodge #380. He studied accounting management at Massey Business College in Atlanta, GA. He was employed with the Universoul Circus for many years. He moved to New Albany where he was employed with Kroger. For those who knew him, knew he had a passion for cooking, music, dancing, working and most of all the love for his family, children & grandchildren. Fred had a smile that truly everyone could remember.

Frederick leaves the memories of his children to cherish forever; sons, Aaron (Terra) Martin of New Albany, Quartez (Danielle) Walker of Hiram, GA; daughters, Alexis Walker of Douglasville, GA, and Tamarah Kelly, of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, Arieon L. Martin of New Albany, Cortez R. Walker of Hiram, GA; brothers, Cedric L. Walker of New Albany, Benny (Rochelle), Andrew (Beverly), Frank (Dorothea); sisters, Cynthia (Cedric G.) Walker; sister-in-law, Cornelia Walker; special nephew, Corri Walker; former wife and friend, Ms. April U. Spikes Walker; former mother-in-law, Juanita W. Spikes; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, relatives & friends. As well as the Universoul Circus Family. He is preceded in death by his loving mother, Cora Walker and brother, Walter Walker.

Psalm 23: “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.”

A memorial service will be held at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville on Saturday, June 17, 2023 from 4:00 PM until 5:00 PM with Bishop A. Dausha Spikes officiating.
