Freida Raven

Mrs. Freida Chaffin Raven, age 85, passed away January 26, 2019. She was born January 16, 1934, the daughter of the late Mr. Emmett Chaffin and Mrs. Lovella Chaffin. She enjoyed reading and spending time with family. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Jonesboro.In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, James Raven Sr.; brother, Benny Chaffin; sister, Norma Clay. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and Jerry Wilson of Douglasville; son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Sandra Raven of Madison; sister, Patty Butler of Hiram; three grandchildren; three great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive. According to Mrs. Raven’s wishes she was cremated. A private ceremony will be held by the family at a later date.Messages of condolences may be sent to the family at www.jones-wynn.com.
