Mr. Garfield White, Jr., 69, of Rocky Branch Way, Villa Rica, Georgia passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2005 at Tanner Medical Center in Villa Rica, Georgia. He was born February 9, 1936, in Randolph County, Alabama. He was the son of the late Garfield White, Sr. and the late Rosie Free White. Mr. White was of the Christian faith. He was an owner/operator of his own trucking company for 38 years. Mr. White was a veteran of the United States Air Force having served in the Korean Conflict. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Jaunaria Ruis White of Villa Rica; his daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia and Gary Vansloun of Jefferson; three sons and daughters-in-law, Donald and Marcia Vaughn of Villa Rica, Gary White of Oxford, Alabama and James Gary and Louella Martin of Washington; five sisters and brothers-in-law, Pat and Ron Freeman of Chicago, Illinois, Louise and Tim Bright of Anniston, Alabama, Juanita and William Wooton of Jacksonville, Alabama, Donna and Darrell Chapel of Jacksonville, Alabama and Ressie and Bill Nesmith of Atlanta; two brothers, Albert Taylor of Huntsville, Alabama and Ralph Taylor of Anniston, Alabama; 15 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, December 9, 2005 at 11:30 AM at the Villa Rica Christian Church in Villa Rica, Georgia with Minister Billy Kaylor officiating. Mr. White will lie in state at the Villa Rica Christian Church on Friday, December 9, 2005 from 10:30 AM until the funeral hour. Pallbearers will be Kenneth Ellers, Richard East, Tracy Bright, Curtis Rewis, Joel Rewis and Jimmy Pate. Interment will follow in the Garden of Remembrance at Meadowbrook Memory Gardens on Hickory Level Road in Villa Rica, Georgia. The family will be receiving friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica, Thursday, December 8, 2005, from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
