Garrod"Gary" Entrekin

Mr. Garrod “Gary” Jadon Entrekin, age 78, of Powder Springs, Georgia passed away Sunday, October 30, 2011. He was born April 14, 1933 in Fairburn, Georgia the son of the late Mr. Ary Jasper Entrekin and the late Mrs. Florida Matilda Sitton Entrekin. He married Joyce Elaine Holland on July 3, 1953 in Hiram, Georgia. He worked in the sales and service department for Phaff Peagasus Corporation. He was a member of Heritage Baptist Church in Douglasville where he was a member of the Senior Adult Pioneers and the Fellowship Sunday School Class. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Elaine Holland Entrekin; son, Joel Allen Entrekin; sisters, Opal Camp and Isabelle Tarpley; brothers, Oscar Entrekin, Herbert Entrekin, and Holder Entrekin. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Lisa Entrekin of Douglasville; brother and sister-in-law, Cecil and Pauline Entrekin of Fayetteville; two grandchildren, Miranda and Shane George and Jaydon Entrekin; one great-granddaughter, Bella George; special friend, JoEllen Gordon; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville, Tuesday, November 1, 2011 from 12 Noon until the 2:00 PM funeral time. Funeral Services will be conducted Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville with Rev. Gene Fields and Mr. Gaither Trussell officiating.
