Gene Earley

Gene Earley, 96, of Villa Rica, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, August 18, 2025. He was born on April 17, 1929, the son of the late William and Bessie Earley.

Gene was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend who touched the lives of many. He was a cherished member of the Villa Rica Church of Christ where his faith was an integral part of his identity. Gene was a remarkable master mechanic. Beyond his professional and spiritual commitments, Gene was an avid outdoorsman. He found great joy in hunting and fishing.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of sixty-eight years, Marie Dillard Earley; daughter, Elizabeth Timmons; brother, R.C. Earley; sisters, Lola Stanley and Lottie Rhodes.

He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Marcus and Rebecca Earley of Douglasville, Brian and Terry Earley of Villa Rica; grandchildren, Katie Timmons, Rachel Timmons, Victoria Earley, Jacob Earley (Kelsey), William Earley, Lucas Earley; great-grandchildren, Jonathan, Jeffery, and Asher.

Graveside services will be held at Meadowbrook Memory Gardens, 1100 Hickory Level Rd., Villa Rica, GA 30180, on Saturday, August 23, 2025 at 5:00 PM with Chaplain Brett Elliott officiating.

Gene was truly a remarkable individual whose presence will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
