Gene Shaw

Mr. Gene Travis Shaw, age 81, of Carrollton, Georgia passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at Pine Knoll Nursing Center following an extended illness. He was born October 22, 1929 in Atlanta, Georgia the son of the late Mr. George Sidney Shaw and the late Mrs. Anne Bell Teal Shaw. He was a member of Crossroads Church and worked as a truck driver. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Thena Buck Shaw on November 1, 2006. He is survived by his stepdaughters, Marie Etheridge, Lorene Cunnigham, Bernice Sumner; stepson, Doug Pope. A Memorial Service will be conducted Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at 7:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica with Rev. Wayne Landmon officiating.
