Mrs. Harriet Geneva “Gee” Carruth Blevins, 91, of Lithia Springs, Georgia passed away Tuesday, May 15, 2018. She was born August 18, 1926 in Dallas, Georgia, the daughter of the late Mr. James Elmer Carruth and the late Mrs. Gertrude Nix Carruth. She married Thurmond Lee Blevins, Sr. on September 13, 1947 in Dallas, Georgia. She retired as a clerical specialist from Met Track Farm Equipment. She was a member of the First Baptist Church Lithia Springs. She was devoted to family and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thurmond Lee Blevins, Sr.; twin sister, Janette “Jet” Royston; sister, Marcelle Schreiber; and brother, Allman Carruth. She is survived by three children and their spouses, Thurmond Lee Blevins, Jr. and his wife, Carol Blevins of Winston, Jeff and Cindy Blevins of Mt. Zion, and April Blevins Cline and her husband, Jeff Cline of Fincastle, VA; five grandchildren, Anna Nesbitt, Molly Tanner, Will Cline, Dylan Blevins, and Harley Godwin; two great-grandchildren, Lilah Nesbitt and Matthew Nesbitt; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville, Thursday, May 17, 2018 from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday, May 17, 2018 at 3:00 PM at the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville with Reverend Clayton Robertson officiating. A private interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. Messages of condolence to the family may be sent at www.jones-wynn.com.
