Geneva Jones Gibson, a beloved Pharmacy Technician who dedicated her life to serving others, has passed away at the age of 78. Born on September 30, 1945, in the beautiful town of Villa Rica, Georgia, Geneva's vibrant spirit touched the lives of many throughout her remarkable journey on this earth. She departed for her heavenly abode on November 15, 2023, in Austell, Georgia.
A woman of diligence and tenacity, Geneva truly embraced her career as a Pharmacy Technician. Geneva possessed an unwavering commitment to ensuring the well-being of others through her invaluable contributions in pharmacy services. Patients were not just names but acquaintances with whom she nurtured genuine connections with compassion and empathy.
The legacy of Geneva's compassion extended beyond her professional life. A woman always eager to lend a helping hand, she delighted in being there for others during both their times of joy and sorrow. Her genuine interest in lives allowed her to maintain deep connections with loved ones and acquaintances alike.
When not at work or extending a helping hand, Geneva nurtured vibrant interests that brought immense joy to her life. She often embarked on trips to the casino where she found exhilaration in games of chance alongside dear friends. Additionally, Geneva found solace and serenity amidst nature's wonders, particularly in the majestic mountains of Gatlinburg. Geneva also found great pleasure in shopping, appreciating the thrill of finding treasures that brought beauty and joy into her life. Geneva deeply treasured those around her, especially her grandchildren whom she loved dearly.
Geneva is preceeded in death by her beloved husband, Gregory Wayne Gibson, Sr.; parents, Hubert E. Jones and Lila Irene Henry Jones; brother, Hubert Jones; sisters, Reba Meek and Debbie Cook.
She is survived by her daughters, Kim (Carl) Pinkert of Auburn, Alabama, Karen Janes of Douglasville, Georgia, Rebecca Randall of Carrollton, Georgia; son, Greg Gibson, Jr. of Douglasville, Georgia; grandchildren, Catherine Claire Pinkert and Grant Pinkert; special niece, Pamela Jean Chisolm.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home Douglas Chapel. The memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at 6:00 PM at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home Douglas Chapel.
