Mrs. Geneva Alice Moon Kent, 92, of Douglasville, Georgia, formerly of Atlanta, passed away Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at Wellstar Tranquility Hospice. She was born January 20, 1923 in Atlanta, Georgia, the daughter of the late Mr. Claude Everitt Moon and the late Mrs. Lois Irene Jones Moon. She worked as a Military Pay Clerk in the Finance Department at Ft. McPherson in Atlanta. She enjoyed yard work, cooking, and shopping in her early years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lewie H. Kent; sisters, Marian Evans and Lillian Sargent; and brothers, Claude Moon and Homer Moon. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Inman Sprayberry of Douglasville; one grandchild, Heather Garrison and her husband, Shane; four great-grandchildren, Austin, Bryson, Calvin, and Dawson; nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville, Saturday, November 14, 2015 from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, November 14, 2015 at 3:00 PM at the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville with Rev. John Pinson officiating.
