Geneva Payne Stewart

Mrs. Geneva P. Stewart, age 78, of Douglasville passed away Thursday, June 16, 2005 at Wellstar Tranquility Hospice in Austell, Georgia. She was born on March 24, 1927 in Forsyth County, Georgia the daughter of the late Mr. Ernest Payne and the late Mrs. Eunice Smith Payne. She was an insurance bookkeeper for over 35 years. She was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack C. Stewart. Mrs. Stewart is survived by one daughter, Michele Hardy of Douglasville; one sister, Jo Anne Brown of Marietta; one brother and sister-in-law, Bobby and Dorothy Payne of Belleview, FL; four grandchildren, Michele Norris, PFC Joseph Perez, Stephanie Perez, Cody Hardy; and one great-grandchild, Tyler Norris. Graveside services will be conducted on Sunday, June 19, 2005 at 11:00 AM at Sherwood Memorial Park in Jonesboro with Deacon Bobby Holcombe officiating. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel on Saturday, June 18, 2005 from 12:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
