Geneva Billie Augusta Vaughn Barber

Geneva Billie Augusta Vaughn Barber, 95, of Villa Rica, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, June 21, 2023. She was born on October 27, 1927. She is the daughter of the late Lester Bryan Vaughn and the late Vera Etta Rabun.

Geneva was a devoted wife to Earl Patman Barber, and she loved the Lord and spent much of her time helping other people. She enjoyed bowling and square dancing. Geneva was a great seamstress; she made many outfits.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Earl Patman Barber; son, Richard Wesley DeLay and four sisters.

Mrs. Barber is survived by her daughter, Phyllis DeLay-Prater of Dawsonville, Georgia; son, Charles Anthony DeLay and his wife, Barbara of Villa Rica, Georgia; grandchildren, Kristy Camp, Chad DeLay, and Jennifer Roper; great grandchildren, Chase, Shelley, Samantha, and Courtney; numerous nieces and nephews.

In accordance with her wishes, Mrs. Barber was cremated. The family will hold a private graveside service in Toccoa at a later date.
