George Barrington Samuda, Jr.

Elder George Barrington Samuda, Jr. was born on January 14, 1959 in the Parish of St. Catherine, Jamaica, West Indies. He passed away on Friday December 20, 2019. George is the son of George Barrington Samuda, Sr. and the late Vernice Samuda. He worked as a property manager for many years in the United States. He was a man of great faith who was very dedicated to his family. George was a faithful member of Atlanta West Pentecostal Church in Lithia Springs. He loved his church and the fellowship with the members. He was very passionate about his family and would do anything within reason for them. He was very funny, likeable, always having a smile and he never met a stranger. He loved to encourage and lift people up – he was a very wise person. George is survived by his wife of 38 years, Dawn Patrecia Samuda of Douglasville; daughters, Sue-Ann Samuda Mitchell and Nyree Samuda Paul; son-in-law, Albert Paul; grandchildren, Stephan Mitchell, Seanna Mitchell, Alexander Paul and Nalani Paul; his father, George Barrington Samuda, Sr. of Jamaica; siblings, Winsome Samuda, Anthony Samuda, Angela Davis, Hope Samuda and Barrington Samuda; sister-in-law, Lorna Samuda and several nieces, nephews, numerous cousins, extended family and friends. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, 2189 Midway Road, Douglasville, Georgia on Friday, January 10, 2020 from 4:00PM until 7:00PM. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, January 11, 2020 at 2:00PM at Atlanta West Pentecostal Church, 2960 Skyview Drive, Lithia Springs, Georgia 30122 with Pastor Darrell Johns officiating.
