George William Daley

Mr. George William (Bill) Daley, age 73, of Douglasville, passed away on Sunday, September 3, 2023. He was born on January 29, 1950, on the island of Montserrat. He is the son of the late Mrs. Catherine Daley. George was family-oriented, and his warm and caring nature made him central to his loved ones’ lives. 

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Clarissa Adames-Daley of Douglasville; daughter, Miladie Pomales of Douglasville; sons, Brian (Maria) Daley of Jacksonville, FL, Christopher (Lauren Nareau) Daley of San Diego, CA, Brandon Pomales of Douglasville; sister, MaryLynn Daley; brother, James G. Daley; grandchildren, Reece Daley, Joshua Pomales, Dominic Pomales and Juliette Pomales. 

A talented musician, Bill had a passion for playing music – especially the guitar. He had an avid love for watching his Jets, Mets, Lakers and USC Trojans. Earning an athletic and academic scholarship to King’s point Merchant Marine Academy, where he majored in Mechanical Engineering, was among Bill’s proudest accomplishments. He loved to play games with family and friends, garden, watch sci-fi movies, or get lost in a book. 

The memorial service will be held at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Jim Grieme officiating.
