George Francis Patterson, Jr.

Mr. George Francis Patterson, Jr., age 45, of Villa Rica, Georgia passed away Wednesday, November 11, 2009. He was born January 4, 1964 in Bronx, New York the son of Mr. George Patterson and Mrs. Mary Johnson Patterson. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He married Tanya Michelle Lemley on March 2, 1987. Mr. Patterson was a member of The Comforters Christian Ministries in Temple, Georgia. He worked for the City of Atlanta in the Georgia Environmental Protection Division. He enjoyed building, working with his hands, and yardwork. He was a devoted family man. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Tanya Michelle Patterson of Villa Rica; three sons, Branden Patterson, Justin Patterson, Dylen Patterson all of Villa Rica; parents, George and Mary Patterson of Bronx, New York; sister, Patricia Patterson of Bronx, New York; brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Jenny Johnson of Chicopee, MA; god-mother, Jacqueline Hansard of Bronx, New York; nephew, Mitchell Patterson of Bronx, New York; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at 3:00 PM at The Comforters Christian Ministries Church, 3005 Carrollton Street, Temple, Georgia with Dr. Barry Keaton and Rev. Dr. Kelvin Burton officiating. Mr. Patterson will lie in state at the church from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM. Interment will follow at Meadowbrook Memory Gardens in Villa Rica. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica, Monday, November 16, 2009 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
