George Grimes

Mr. George Allen Grimes, age 68, of Bremen passed away Sunday, January 26, 2014 at Floyd Medical Center in Rome. He was born August 31, 1945, in Enterprise, AL, the son of the late Mr. Seth Grimes and the late Mrs. Mary Stinson Grimes. He was retired.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Helen Armstrong Grimes and brother, Thomas Grimes.He is survived by his daughters and son-in-law, Connie Holloman of Bremen, Donna Harrison of Bremen, and Penny and Daniel Long of Carrollton; son, Chris Grimes of Bremen sister, Julia Cox of Baker, FL; brother and sister-in-law, Oneal and Martha Grimes of Enterprise, AL; six grandchildren, Justin and Erica Holloway, Jessie Holloway, Brandon Harrison and Dakota White, Ashley Harrison, Megan Grimes and Avery Grimes; one great grandchild, Mason Harrison, companion, Donna Holt and her son, Brandon Holt of Bremen. Several nieces and nephews survive.The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica, Thursday, January 30, 2014 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. A Celebration of Life will be conducted Friday, January 31, 2014 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Meadowbrook Memory Gardens in Villa Rica.
