George Manuel Foster, Jr.

Mr. George Manuel Foster, Jr., age 70, of Villa Rica, Georgia passed away Friday, November 6, 2009 at Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton, Georgia. He was born May 4, 1939 in Carroll County, Georgia, the son of the late Mr. George Manuel Foster, Sr. and the late Mrs. Mary Ellen Mabry Foster. Mr. Foster was a veteran of the United States Navy. He worked as a mechanic and as heavy equipment operator for Fulton County. Mr. Foster was owner of Brookside Video for 12 years and G&L Salvage in Newell, Alabama. In addition to his parents, Mr. Foster was preceded in death by his sisters, Patricia Ann Foster, Sarah Cox and Olivia Bell. Survivors include his wife of over 47 years, Mrs. Sarah Jeanette Morris Foster of Villa Rica; his daughters, Rhonda Lynn Foster and Lorri Ellen Foster Lee of Villa Rica; his sisters, Clara Denny of Bowdon, Ruth Snow of Bremen, Faye Nell Pitts of Mountain City, Tennessee and Beatrice Hancock of Villa Rica; grandson, Justin Andrew Lee; and several nieces, nephews and his beloved cocker spaniel Buddy also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted Sunday, November 8, 2009 at 2:00PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica with Celebrant Glenn Gilmore officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of the Cross at Meadowbrook Memory Gardens on Hickory Level Road in Villa Rica, Georgia.
