Georgia “Ruth” Wade Jackson, 95, of Villa Rica, passed away on Thursday, December 12, 2024. She was born on April 13, 1929, the daughter of the late Henry Rufus Wade and the late Lera Inez Rutland Wade.

A woman of great warmth and compassion, Ruth touched the lives of everyone who had the honor of knowing her. Throughout her life, Ruth was a devoted family member and a supporter of her church community, particularly cherishing her involvement in the children’s ministry. Midway recognized Ruth’s service by naming its children’s building in honor at her and her late husband. Her affection for her family and church was evident in everything she did, and she took great joy in nurturing relationships and sending heartfelt cards to those in need of love and support.

Ruth found happiness in her hobbies, particularly in gardening. She had a fondness for watching classic films, especially those featuring John Wayne, which became a cherished pastime. She was a member of Midway Church and she was deeply involved in the social outreach initiatives, embodying the spirit of service and dedication to her community. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Lamar Jackson, Sr.; sister, Elizabeth Attaway and brother, Clifford Wade.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Henry and Lynn Jackson of Villa Rica and Allan and Laurie Jackson of Fort Worth, Texas; grandchildren, Cindy (James) Pirch of Temple, GA, Kevin (Jennifer) Jackson of Centerville, GA, Stacey (Jeff) Parker of Allen, TX, Lisa Jackson of Plano, TX, and Philip (Caitlin) Jackson of Fort Worth, TX; great-grandchildren, Mrs. Leigh Pirch and Mr. Michael Jiles, Jay Pirch, Penny Jackson, Andrew Jackson, Nate Jackson, Bennett Parker, Dayton Parker, Channing Parker, Austen Parker, and Ellis Parker; numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home Villa Rica Chapel. Mrs. Jackson will lie in state from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Midway Church on Wednesday, December 18, 2024. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 with Pastor Todd Wright officiating. Interment will be Midway Church Cemetery.

The following will serve as pallbearers: Emory Attaway, Buddy Wade, Johnny Pollard, Mike Pollard, Mark Pollard and Glen Nicotra.
