Gerry Lee Welter

Gerry Lee Welter, 80, passed on April 4, 2022. He was born on December 16, 1941 in Colon Michigan. He is the son of the late Frank Welter and the late Inez Spellbring Welter. Mr. Welter served in the United States Navy from 1957 and discharged in1962. He also retired from Delta Air lines with 40 years of service. In his free time he enjoyed bowling and running the Delta Air Lines Bowling Tournament. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Judith Anne Lowe Welter they were married 54 years when she passed in 2017. Gerry is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Ann Welter Jones and her husband David M. Jones, his son Brian Lee Welter and his wife Susan Welter; Grandchildren: Alicia Sanders, Bradley Sanders, Amanda Ward. Great grandchildren: Ayvah Hall, Kayden Hall, Serenity Sanders, Easton Ward According to his wishes he was cremated. There will be a celebration of life on April 30, 2022 at the American Legion # 145 13141 Veterans Memorial Hwy, Douglasville, GA 30134 from 11 - 2 They are asking everyone to bring a covered dish. After the Celebration there will be a short motorcycle last ride for Gerry, per his request.
