Mrs. Gertrude âTrudieâ McGraw Wooten, age 91, of Douglasville, Georgia, passed away Tuesday, January 27, 2009. She was born May 5, 1917 in Summerville, Georgia the daughter of the late Mr. Walter McGraw and the late Mrs. Lula Yeardy McGraw. She was a member of Sunset Hills Baptist Church in Douglasville. She worked as a seamstress for Six Flags over Georgia. She enjoyed sewing. She was devoted to her beloved family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J.W. Wooten. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jane and Raymond Hester of Roswell; son and daughter-in-law, James and Brenda Wooten of Smithville, Rhode Island; sister, Rosa Warren of Lafayette; brother, Clyde McGraw of Summerville; 4 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services for Mrs. Gertrude âTrudieâ Wooten will be conducted Friday, January 30, 2009 at 2:00 PM from Sunset Hills Baptist Church in Douglasville with Rev. Stephen Williams officiating and Bud McGraw rendering the eulogy. Mrs. Wooten will lie in state at the church from 1:00 PM until the funeral hour. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
