Gladys Evans Belcher

Mrs. Gladys E. Belcher, age 90, of Buchanan passed away Sunday, May 22, 2011 at Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton. She was born May 22, 1921 in Douglas County the daughter of the late Mr. John William Evans and the late Mrs. Claudie Irene Newborn Evans. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist Faith. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Parker Belcher. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Joan and Mike Pollard of Carrollton, Claudia and Richard Parker of Buchanan; sons and daughters-in-law, Raymond Lewis and Betty Belcher of Douglasville, William Gary and Darla Belcher of Eatonton, Stanley Belcher of Villa Rica, Allen Parker and Delores Belcher of Douglasville; sister, Ruby Banks of Douglasville; brother, Ralph Evans of Douglasville; fourteen grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica with Rev. Dan McPherson officiating. Interment will follow at Mozley Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica, Tuesday, May 24, 2011 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Messages of condolence may be sent from www.jones-wynn.com.
