Glenda Evans

Mrs. Glenda Joan McGuire Evans, age 69, of Carrollton, passed away Saturday, December 10, 2016. She was born May 15, 1947 in Summerville, GA, the daughter of the late Mr. Charles McGuire and the late Mrs. Julia Woodall Hennon. Mrs. Evans loved old cars and working on them. She loved eagles, Indian artifacts, gardening, growing vegetables and most of all her grandchildren. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Samantha and James Whaley of McDonough, Donna and Marty Evans of Carrollton; sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Donna Evans of Carrollton, Stephen and Marie Evans of Dallas; sisters and brother-in-law, Wanda McCarty of Douglasville, Emily Carillo of Villa Rica, Diane Strickland of Villa Rica, Shelia McGuire of Villa Rica, and Teresa and Douglas Holland of Villa Rica; grandchildren, Richard Christopher Evans, Richard Lee Evans, Brittany Evans, Jeremy Vaughn, Stephanie and Mason Ballew, Julia and Curtis Gulley, Evan and Teia Whaley, Austin Samuel Whaley, Erica Sheree Bailey, Alexandria Rose Anderson, Allan Sawyer Anderson, 13 great-grandchildren; many “adopted” children and grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and extended family also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Monday, December 12, 2016 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will follow Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at 1:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Brother Paul Bailey officiating. Interment will follow at Glenn Memorial Gardens.
