Glenda Helms Stewart

Mrs. Glenda Carolyn Helms Stewart, age 74, of Douglasville, passed away, Monday, July 18, 2016. She was born August 19, 1941 in Fitzgerald, GA the daughter of the late Mr. Dennis Helms and the late Mrs. Thelma Louise Wilson Helms. She worked at MD Anderson Hospital in Houston, TX as an X-Ray Technician. Mrs. Stewart loved to read, and loved jewelry and flowers, especially roses. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Leo Stewart, Jr.; sister, Sandra Helms Bailey. She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Diane and Robert Vincent of Douglasville; eight nieces and nephews; seventeen great nieces and nephews also. She also leaves behind her beloved dog of sixteen years, Tari Stewart.According to Mrs. Stewart’s wishes she was cremated. Messages of condolence may be sent to the family at www.jones-wynn.com.
